By popular demand we are now running intermediate tambour evening classes at London Embroidery School.  Consisting of the usual format of three Wednesday evening classes, the intermediate course will take you through some more technical and disciplined tambour stitches.

Week 1 (after a little recap) will concentrate on fill techniques, specifically bricking.  This techniques highlights any variation in stitch length so is an extremely good way of practising regulatory in your stitches.
Week 2 gives a little more freedom with stitch length, but gives fantastic practice for muscle memory by covering 'vermicelli'.  Vermicelli's constant changes in direction ensure you are working your tambour correctly and efficiently.
Week 3 adds another dimension entirely by testing your stitch technique through two layers of fabric, specifically lace, and the introduction of different sized hooks.  Appliqué is a crafty way of filling area when needed and is perfect companion for tambour !

Please remember although you will be learning in a mixed technique group and your class is tailored specifically to your progress.

Please book your Wednesday at least 1 week in advance, the classes run from 6.30-8.30pm

Purchase can be made with a frame and hook which then you can then take home after the class to practice.  If you already have the equipment or do not wish to purchase it for home use please select the 'without' option.

Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance.  Courses are non refundable.
