Goldwork Christmas Star Workshop
Next Class Date: 7th December 2019 10am-6pm
Location: The London Embroidery School, Hawthorne & Heaney Studio, 14 Rathbone Place, W1T 1HT
This workshop takes you through some basic goldwork techniques, working towards making your own top of the tree star.
The workshop will show you how to prepare your artwork for gold work embroidery with the traditional prick and pounce technique. After this preparation you will be shown couching edging stitches with Pearle Purl in preparation for your fills. You can bring your own personality to your piece by creating your own combination of traditional goldwork techniques and other sewing fills such as:
Bright Check Chips
Cloth of Gold Applique
Beads & Sequins
Once you have completed all the sparkles, we will show you how to close up and finish your piece, ready to take pride of place.
Book now to secure your seat! This workshop has a limited number of places so don’t miss out. What could be more unique to decorate your home for Christmas than a hand made star using traditional goldwork techniques?
